Anyway, links to my facebook and newgrounds accounts have been added to the sidebar. Thanks for your continued support. If it exists.

F-f-f-f-FANTASTIC!
Everybody check out my new and improved web castle! Chizzon yeah! Flip up the hizzouse and amp out your DBs!
There's not a whole lot of time left for me in Rockland. I'll be moving out day after tomorrow-- I've been packing all day as it is. I really hope I don't get too bored without my roommates being there for a month or so-- and classes not starting until the 12th. My goodness I'll have some time to finally relax, huh! I've been working really hard all week, trying to get things finalized, earning money for the apartment and school, and eating or sleeping somewhere in the middle of that.
So, goodbye Rockland! We;ve shared the best of times, we've shared the worst of times, and for the first of times, we share the last of times.

My music:
Recently in this wonderful world of musical synths and electronic hip happening jass flute I've found myself without a hitch. Nothing to anchor my creative brain to one particular work of music, and nothing to bridle my whimsical thoughts and focus my energy on a single project. Thus, I've made like a million little synthed things that aren't really all that good, or all that expressive, and thus I've decided that I should dedicate myself to more nobel causes like learning to play an actual instrument-- or possibly training my voice up to a point where I can sing. Unfortunately I've been stuck with these two little crappy holes in my laptop screen that somewhat mimic the functionality of a heavily used microphone, and I can't record live music to any recognizable degree.
Solution: I went on amazon dot com the other day and found this great unidirectional microphone with it's own little stand. "What's a unidirectional microphone," you may wonder. Well, a Unidirectional microphone ('unidir' from here on) is a regular old microphone that records the majority of sound on it's major axis, dampening ambient noise and other off-axis sounds. Put simply, a unidir microphone records all of what it is pointing at, while smaking everything else muted or dampened. This allows an artist to record exactly what he or she wants to record without the hassle of maintaining a perfectly quiet sound studio. It's also good for recording an individual instrument or vocalist when a whole band is playing.
The rub: It hasn't gotten to me yet, my order is processing at the moment, but I'll hopefully break out with something sweet in the near future, and I look forward to the public's reaction. In the mean time, I've been practicing my live music mastering by working on a few of my dad's tape recordings (digitalized) to make them sound fuller and more balanced. It's going well, but it IS a learning process so that's taking me a little bit.

It's Downhill from Here
I guess things are really starting to gain momentum as I edge ever closer to the beginning of my next school year. I don't know how many of you play Mount and Blade, but it feels kind of like I'm charging in by myself against a bunch of sea raiders. So I don't necessarily feel ill-equipped, but I do feel outnumbered and alone. I'm hoping that I can get through this band at 24% and totally own.
So I went driving today with my mother. I tried to master the standard transmission for about an hour and twenty minutes-- which was famously productive. We drove around Camden high for a while, took a detour down route 90 and then went through Thomaston back home. I only had to switch with mom once, because I was starting off at an uphill stoplight and ended up totally missing the green because the engine gave out six or seven times. As of right now I have a lot of trouble shifting down, especially at low speeds, but I still have another 32 hours of driving time before I even think of testing my skills, so things are looking good for the future.
Torrents of mud and filth flew back to where they belong earlier today as I filled in my backyard pit. The thing was filled three quarters full of water, so I ended up making a giant mud hole that would relentlessly suck up anything within two feet of it. Fortunately I had my new shoes, which like to grab and hold mud underneath them more than Michael Jackson would the 'plus eight' crew.
So, I'm back at school on the 2nd. See you there Johnson Claire.

Open Doors and Closed Windows
Never did finish that hole... figures. Hey! There's a whole lot going on right now, like-- I'm moving to Old Town for a few years. Yep, we've got it all figured out, and I'll be renting an apartment with Sarah, Steven, and Amy across that strange old bridge not two miles off campus. It's a pretty sweet deal too. It's a four bedroom, two bathroom place with three livable floors- that is to say, the basement is fit for living, with carpets and stuff like that. The whole deal is coming together to be less than half the cost of living on campus (including food costs), which is a dream come true. I'm going down tomorrow to check the place out, talk to the rentors about the lease and some possible rent reduction for moving in early, so hopefully everything goes well. I'm looking forward to having a palce of my own as well as saving money while getting a great education. :)

Deep Thoughts
So I got this great idea the other day, and I've decided I'm going to dig a giant hole in my back yard. Yeah, I'm not even kidding. I've been working on it for a couple days now, like two and a half hours overall and I've got a 4 foot by three foot hole that's about 2' 6" deep. And you're probably wondering, "What are you going to do with this hole, Philip?". Well I'll tell you...
...
I don't know. I think I might just make it deep enough that it comes up to my shoulders, and then start digging out trenches to other 'rooms'. I figure the digging is a lot easier from the side than it is going straight down. I keep getting songs from Disney's 'Holes' stuck in my head though. It'd be sweet if I could find some treasure or something though! Oh man that would be awesome!
Other than that: Working at Hannafork Dello all summer, cross training for Pharmacy, and I haven't even said anything about the treehouse yet! Man my summer is packed. Kind of. Not really. I need structured things to do, I keep tossing my free time to random things that strike me....

*sigh of relief*
My last grades came in just today! I am so pumped, because I ended up doing well in a couple classes that I half expected to fail. Turns out my GPA this semester is 0.4 better than last semester, so my total GPA is back up to a reasonable level. I'm still hoping for a 4.0 next semester though, you wouldn't beleive how brutal a lot of these scholarship programs are. Speaking of which I should probably work harder on applying for those :D.
Now that that's over with I can relax and focus on earning money for next year. I've decided to pick up a second job because I won't have nearly as much time as I had expected to earrn money this summer because I'm going back to Umaine to take a summer course (what a drag). I absolutely need to though. It would prevent me from needing an extra year to get my B.S. anyway.
WOHoooOOOOoO! *clicks heels*

WOW
The new page is exploding with coolness! I encourage you all to take a look around and leave some comments while you're at it. The music page is heavily updated, the pictures page is reorganized and is expecting addition soon, and the games page... well it's awesome but not all the way done yet, so hang tight.
This will be easier to update too, so check back sometime. I'll work on getting this thing hooked up to facebook or something and it'll be like website heaven.
Anyway, look around, have a blast :D.
